Background

Popto is an on-demand delivery service operating in Cardiff, Newport, Swansea and Bristol. They delivery anything from local stores in 60 minutes or less, including groceries, alcohol, food & more. They needed a full service digital and marketing package that took care of everything for them, so they could focus on running the business. They needed a brand, website, mobile apps and a marketing strategy.

Our Solution

Branding

PopTo needed a brand that stuck out from the crowd and also highlight what they did. Their brand would need to stand out when visible in stores, on social media and even on their couriers. So we created a branding package with a vibrant colour scheme with a local that stood out, whilst capturing the local places aspect of their business. The P in their logo is also a location icon. The brand name PopTo was a play on the phrase ‘Pop to the shop’.

Website Design

We produced a full website for Popto, a website designed to target both sides of their B2B and B2C customer base. A design with two clear customer user journeys, with a user-friendly UX, that also generated traffic on both sides of the customer base was the goal and that’s exactly what we delivered. A fully SEO and multi-device optimised website to drive traffic, educate users and provide support in key areas that would enable the business owners to save time.

App Development

In addition to their website, we also designed and built both a web app and a mobile app that facilitated their online ordering and delivery systems. This technology would form the core operations of their business, so needed to be user-friendly for their customers to place orders, their merchant partners to receive and manage orders, and also for their delivery partners to receive and process deliveries. We produced three separate mobile apps, one for each partner and also a web app that could also be used on tablets to oversee operations.

SEO

A key driver in the success of PopTo with a limited marketing budget, was driving traffic organically through SEO. To achieve this, we worked with them to build traffic taking a local SEO first approach, creating content and building backlinks with large local, high authority brands such as universities. This led to PopTo outranking large businesses such as Deliveroo and UberEats for key local keywords.

Social/PPC

We helped PopTo achieve a 15x ROAS on all social and paid ads. We helped create ads for their social media channels, including graphics, videos and copy. We then managed these ads to monitor and optimise to continuously get the maximum results for their budget, generating 6 figures revenue on a relatively small budget.
